Maldusa is a cultural association that seeks to establish two research and documentation stations in Palermo and in Lampedusa.

The association is founded and composed by individual activists, who have been involved in Search and Rescue, migrant solidarity and transnational networking processes in the central Mediterranean Sea since several years. We try to bring together various experiences and expertise, aiming at building bridges and collaborations between the North and South of the Mediterranean Sea, as well as between European and African activists and people on the move or with a migratory experience.

We follow a horizontal and collaborative approach.

 This way, we want to support and strengthen existing infrastructures for freedom of movement and for migrant solidarity.
