Echoes #18 – Let’s act transnationally!
At the beginning of September, a transnational chain of actions will begin to commemorate the 2015 Summer of Migration. This anniversary not only serves as a moment to reflect on our fundamental critique of the deadly European border regime, but also reaffirms our ongoing struggle for freedom of movement. Today, we live together in a society of the many. That is a legacy of 2015 on which we want to build… Freedom of movement is a possibility. We saw it ten years ago and we see it every day in the cracks of Europe's borders. Solidarity still exists and can be the basis for a beautiful society in which all can live, freely and equally!.

- 4th of September – 17:00 : Online Conference to start the transnational chain of action with voices and brief inputs from the various cities and areas of the following events, protests and demonstrations.
- From 4th to 7th of September (near Berlin) : SAR-Camp – Solidarity and Resistance[2]
- 6th of September (Frankfurt): Pavillons of Solidarity from 12:00 to 17:00 at Hauptwache
- 10th – 20th of September (Mazara/ Around Lampedusa): f.Lotta[3] – A massive occupation of the central Med
- 12-13th of September (Geneva): UNHCR = UNFAIR! IOM = NASTY! Press-Conference at 11:00 on Friday, Demonstration starts at 14:00 on Saturday at IOM[4]
- 20th-27th of September (Germany): One-week Caravan from We`ll Come United[5] for free movement and equal rights with a final parade in Berlin
- 26th-27th of September (Madrid): 10th anniversary of Red Solidaria de Acogida[6] with act- and street theater, talks and celebration
- 3rd-5th of October (Rabat): CommemorA(c)tion of 20 Years of struggle – Baobab & Arcom celebrate resistance with migrants and activists[7]
- 15th-18th of October (Rome): Action days against the "Memorandum of Understanding" between Italy and Libya[8]
- 18th-21st of October (Vienna): Conference and demonstration against ICMPD[9]
- 20th-21st of October (Ragusa): Trial against Mediterranea[10] – At 9:00 gathering in front of the Court in Ragusa (in the evening before assembly in Ragusa)
- 31st of October to 2nd of November (Albania): Protest days and workshops from network against migrant detentions in Shengjin, Gäder and Tirana
